What Muffler should I Buy?
What is the difference between Tanabe's Concept G and Medalion Touring mufflers. I want to get an exaust system but cannot decide which to get. I want a deep meaty tone, preferably not raspy yet Id like to hear it in the cabin. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thx

I would look up Yaris exhaust on YouTube. Magnaflow mufflers have a pretty deep tone. I like mine. It's quiet when cruising, and can be loud when I floor it. Also, having a custom cat-back done at an exhaust shop may be cheaper than buying an off the shelf axle-back, and you'll have your choice of how the muffler looks, possibly the way it sounds, and your choice of exhaust tips.

the touring has a nice tone to it. the cabin is definitely louder inside the car. the concept g must be even louder. I love the touring on my car :)

hate to throw in another one - but I have the Megan axleback and I absolutely love it. its nice an subtle when you're cruising or idling and then you get on it it has a great deep tone. I also have the megan header so that probably helps tons, too.

I have the Trd axle back on my sedan. I just put it back on after not being able to sell it. The short time it was off the car I really missed it. The center exhaust that tooter has is pretty cool. I would have bought one if I had the hatch.

I dont like the look of the concept g it looks more ricey, the medallion is clean and simple.

But I agree with Laz that what i did. The concept g is $430 and the medallion is $350, I paid 350 for a full 2.25" straight pipe, resonator delete, 2nd cat delete |

I left my cat and resonator on but went 2" all the way out with a glass-packed muffler. I think it sounds good.
also, the header adds quite a bit of volume itself. Just a thought. |

I sapped my muffler for another resonator...it sounds great to me, not too loud but loud and not ricey.

You can try to google it used on a smaller displacement 4 cylinder car. Finding that exact muffler would be kind of hard unless you know the part number, and someone actually puts the part number in the description.
