anyone else resize?

anyone else ever have to resize their wedding band?

you see, my fiance (now wife) and i had been engaged for about 20months up until 2 weeks ago (nov 14) and we had already chose wedding bands (plain, 14k gold bands, w/ comfort fit) and it was really a matter of buying them.

a few weeks prior to ACTUALLY doing the paperwork there was a 20% off sale at the jewelery store where i got her engagement ring AND they had both of our sizes there for our rings....so i figured lets do it!

got the rings and then i got excited to get married, so we set it up before annie, my wife, left for her new job in waterloo, ontario (which she started on monday the 24th)

great, good, fine.

now the point: i got a 6mm wide band in a size 11....fit fine when my hands were nice and warm from walking around the mall, but after the cold weather we've had and my pension for NOT wearing glove unless its below -20c, i find my fingers shrink and the band will pretty much slip off.

and by pretty much slip off, i mean, itll slip off. it fell off completely a couple days ago after doing some dishes, for starters. i was also on the roof on wednesday (yesterday) puting a downspout on my eaves trough and i slipped past my knuckle while i was out there.....thought it was going to take a 2 storey plunge!

so i went to get my band resized tonight...down to a 10.5....my hands were cold when i went in, so the 10.5 seemed like itd stay on well enough in the cold, but im concerned about its tightness when its 35c next summer + humidty...whether itll be too tight now....though im sure by then my finger will have that nice wedding band groove so it wont be as big an issue

anyone else ever run into this or have these concerns?

Get it sized to fit you. I was remarried 3 1/2 years ago and I just do not take off the ring. Your finger will adjust to the size in the summer heat and it will not bother you. I too wear a comfort band which IMO are the best.

In the absolute coldest weather I am aware of it when I remove my gloves.

we had our rings sized in the winter months so we would not have that problem...... it is a little snug in the summer, but I never take my ring off anyways
