Phone Tech Review Thread

Well, I got sick and tired of looking for review after reviews on the new G1 Android Google Phone... So I thought we could add another resource from people we know everyday.

Please follow the same format.

Phone Make/Model:

Best Feature:
Worst Feature:
Rating (1-10):

Phone Make/Model: Blackberry Curve 8320

Provider: T-mobile (USA) , Roshan (Afghanistan)

Best Features: For the most part flash card size dependent upon OS, assignable shortcut keys on the sides of the phone, best speaker out there, too many more to mention...

Worst Features: The flash card mounts under the battery hence you must power the phone off in order to be able to install/remove (the new 8900 will be the same way unfortunately), If you use Roxio you will have issues with the Media Manager Software as it uses Roxio as well and will over right your current R install...even if you install in different folders!

Rating (1-10): 8

Phone Make/Model: T-Mobile G-1 Android Phone

Provider: T-mobile (USA)

Best Features: User interface. Kinda like the iPhone. WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G or Edge network, GPS. QWERTY keyboard.

Worst Features: User interface. I still cannot figure out how to use the numeric keypad while on a phone call (e.g. "press 1 to leave a message"). Music player user interface sucks compared to an iPod. Cannot connect to my iTunes library.

Rating (1-10): 8 for now

Phone Make/Model: Sony Ericsson K850

Provider: DTAC (Thailand)

Best Features: great camera with flash + LED illumination (works great as a flashlight too), speedy, compact size, great Bluetooth support, great UI (wow I use the word great quite a lot...)

Worst features: Kinda slow sometimes

Rating: 9/10 - about as good as "classic" camera phones can get.
