Parking an Automatic on an Incline
My LB is an auto, and my driveway has a significant incline to it. I am trying to get into the habit of putting the transmission in neutral first, setting the parking brake, then shifting it up into 'Park' as I think it takes some of the strain off of the transmission. My logic is that the brake takes control of the car and handles the gravity from the incline, thus saving the transmission from doing so.
Here's my question...does that make sense? Or am I wasting my time? Cheers! M2 |
