Double din doesn't fit?

So I finished wiring it up my Alpine IVA-W205 and put it back in and noticed that it was sticking out, but the metal brackets lined up perfect, but since it sticks out the center console wont fit back in.

here is a pic of how to metal bracket lines up. maybe i lined it up wrong?

and here is a pic of how much it sticks out from the double din kit.

Yes I know i only put in one screw, my hand is sore from screwing and unscrewing all 8 of them.

So any one know how to do it?

is it suppose to lay flush to the double din? cuz all little bumps in the metal bracket makes it lay uneven. that is the only position where it lays flush. But ill give it a try and take a pic. you can tell me if I got it right haha

Its too late to take pics but my dash fits, but i really need to push it back in. And since its being squeezed it cant close after being open. Looks like I have to trim the dash kit. Any one else have this problem?

The 'bumps' on the stock metal brackets are there to discourage aftermarket stereo install as far as I can tell, but put in to align to alignment holes on the stock head units. Take a dremel grinding tip to them, they whittle right off and let things bolt up much more easilly.

It seems like the dash kit is too big, and will fit if i really jam the center console back in, but if I do that the dash kit squeezes against the Double din and prevents it from closing after ejecting a disk.

Anyone with a alpine double din have this problem?
