Question for those with aFe intakes AND ScanGauges
Once your engine is nice and hot, how hot does your intake air temperature reading get when you sit and idle at a light?
The reason I ask is that I took off the metal heat shield off my aFe setup and get a noticeable rise in air temp every time I come to a prolonged stop. When the car is moving, the intake air temp drops quickly. I don't remember if the original setup experienced a noticeable rise when the car was not moving.

Why would you take the heat shield off in the first place

Where is Oahu?

when the car's at a stop the heat stays in one place. when the car is running,
the wind is probably blowing away the heat. The heat shield is doing it's job by blocking the heat coming mainly from the engine
