Which Wing/Spoiler?

OK, I've been looking all over YarisWorld at the different wings/spoilers folks have on their liftbacks; and I still can't make up my mind. I like the larger, European versions out there; but I can't justify spending several hundred dollars on one. YarisUniverse has one at a decent price but I asked before and no one responded as to having one. I was also wondering if anyone got a wing/spoiler unpainted and had it painted locally; and if so, how much did it cost and how did it turn out?

Feel free to post pics of your liftback with a wing on it. Pictures speak a thousand words...

Cheers! M2

I got mine for $75.99 off ebay. It's a 2 pound ABS Plastic RS Replica. Very good quality and mounted with 3M double-sided molding tape. (I also bolted it onto the car, but was not necessary. Just a precaution.)

That looks like the one from YarisUniverse. I do like it. How much did it cost you to paint?

Cheers! M2

Well, I actually spraypainted it. I took my time and did a nice job, but it cost around $6.00.

If I was taking it somewhere to get painted, I would have gotten it color matched to my car.

I spent a lot of time on the internet looking at wings for my sedan and thought about the cost of paint and who should do the painting. I finally found a place in Texas (which looks like your home state) that I bought the wing from and then had them paint it prior to shipping. I received the wing pre-painted with my factory code and it matched perfect on my 2008 silver sedan S. Having your wing painted by a professional, body shop, etc is roughly going to cost you around $100.00 + or - $10.00 or $20.00 dollars. I too painted a wing in the past "satin" black and it turned out perfect..take your time. If you want it to match your car have a "shop" paint it NOT a friend in his garage...I can't tell you how many body parts I've seen with dust in the paint...in the end....you really get what you pay for.......just my thoughts...sorry I don't have any photos yet...tons of snow here in Michigan..but I know your more interested in liftbacks anyways..Good luck with your project!!!

The OEM rally rear wing spoiler was one of the first mods done on our Yaris.
A bit pricy, but it was worth it...comes painted...perfect color match and fit!

Good luck with your choice, Mad Max.

That's a Canadian Rally spoiler, right? How much do those run?

I also like the C-One, but I don't know what ¥21,000 translates to in dollars!

Train317, who'd you get yours off of in Texas?

Cheers! M2

Yes, we have the Canadian rally spoiler. We purchased it from OpenRoad Toyota - Richmond (1-800-663-7968). Can't recall the exact amount paid, but it was approximately C$360 + tax. Exchange rate today is (C$1.00 is US$0.793); so C$360 is US$285.48.

Based on today's exchange 21,000 Jap Yen is US$231. (1 Yen = 0.011 US$).

Too bad I sold the OEM lip spoiler already.

Cheers.

I would second that ebay spoiler, I had one body matched to my car total including paint less than $170

I've been drooling over the C-One spoiler since it first came out. Just beautiful.

Any chance I could pick one of those up from the Toyota dealerships around here in Southern California? I think that is the only rear spoiler i would EVER consider putting on my Yaris hands down.

I bought the AIT spoiler from Garm and paid $75 to have it painted and $100 to have it installed, just as a point of reference.

So why is the title of this thread titled which wing/spoiler if you already chose one.

I went with a replica C-ONE in carbon fiber, for $80 shipped. Love it and haven't found one I liked better.
