When you go low what do you hit?

Thinking about a 2008 3door yaris and was wondering how much you can lower these before you run into problems?

I currently own a 2000 New Beetle that is lowered only about 1.5" (not very low at all really) I've replaced 3 oil pans (they are cast alum) and then I lifted the whole motor/trans up 1" with aluminum blocks. About a month after that I caved in the subframe and A arm on a pipe sticking up in the road. All had to be replaced.

Just wondering what is the lowest hanging fruit on a yaris and what do you guys whack up the most?

Thanks
Chris

Maybe you should reconsider lowering your car if your roads are that bad?
Just sayin.

Mines dropped 2in. my frame hits speed bumps but driveways and other slopes, dips, and some other things just my front plastic guard under the car and also my mudguards in front of the rear. My stock exhaust doesnt scrape but that might change soon when I get my HKS

I got mine lowered pretty good on cusco coilovers but also have the gt spec brand under chassis bracing which on my car @ the lowest point has mabey mabey 1.5" ground clearance at best and only touch on really tall speed bumps. I scrape more stuff with the under chassis bracing on then if it wasn't on but it saves the bottoms of the car from getting banged up .

that remind me, i should get a skid plate when i lower mine since i'm missing the OEM one, lol. wouldn't want something to bounce up and hit anything.

Im almost slammed on tanabe coilovers... run 15" with tall tires 15/60/195 I think... I run my wheel liners, wheel wells... that silly plastic cover under the bumper/engine... the front bumper rubs on driveways and going over speedbumps. I havnt ever heard any frame or part noise hitting.... but I expect it when I get some differnt wheels/tires.

I'm not overly low (but short tires compound it), the old side skirts took a beating, as well as the exhaust (one of the hangers at the 2nd cat ripped right out)

Im on Kspoprts at about 1.8 in all around and I only rub my frame on speed bumps if I load my backseat with people. I also hit that stupid little plastic piece that hangs below the fron bumper. Mine is on the verge of being left on the highway. I also rub my inner wheel well lining on big bumps but other than that no problem. Just take it slow and weave around lol you may look wasted but your car will be fine.

im lowered about 2-2.5" and i scraped frame, and front bumper. the HD lip saves my bumper paint job and cracks. One week without the HD lip and my front bumper has a small crack in the lower section.
