A lot of people like the R1 Concept front discs, same size as original, but slotted and/or drilled for looks.

Or you can get a kit for larger discs but using the stock calipers.

Or you can get a proper Big Brake Kit with larger discs and calipers, that's what I had.

Truthfully from what we see of people racing their Yaris here, the stock brakes are already quite good, maybe get a set of R1 discs, some good pads and stainless steel lines.

wasup my bro !!!!!!

thanks for the imput

yeah , i was thinking along the same lines.

do the R1's make a big dif ? cause im running 17 inch wheels , thats what made me think of using a larger disc , but then again you become restricted if you want to change back to 15inch.

R1 front rotors with a 17" wheel. I love 'em !! I also have the rear disc conversion. It's even more awesome !

Japanese company ATS is pretty popular here, they have kits with mini 4 or 6 pot calipers that can fit 15" (285mm discs) and 16" (305mm discs) wheels. Pricey though, count about $1,200 before shipping

Wilwood also has some mini calipers, and Garm is trying to piece together an inexpensive BBK based on them

shot alot bro ! yeah , will be sweet if Garm can get somthing together.

i contacted a local guy here in RSA runing a company called Vari Racing.

he makes custom big disc setups , 320mm , he recons it will cost me about 400USD for a set of discs with adapters to fit the OEM caliper , that will be a vented and slotted disc i recon

that's not too bad! stock calipers will look a little bit dinky though But they should be up to the task if you get good pads

1. our front stock discs are smaller than that, so it probably wouldn't fit? Or does it come with everything you need including rotors?

2. R1 concepts rotors will not improve your braking "power". Also, for the record, they come OEM, slotted, and drilled+slotted.

So the question is, do you want to stop in a shorter distance, or do you want more resistance to fade for racing, or do you want a better pedal feel so you can control the brakes better?

Pads, fluid and lines are the best start to improved braking, resistance to fade, and pedal feel.

hey buddy

Thanks for the info , much appreciated.

so what would be a good disc upgrade for better , harder braking , more power.

would a big disc kit with OEM calipers , better pads , steel hoses and better fluids be enough ?

Yep, appropriate rotors included... but like I mentioned earlier, pricey
