Have installed 6*9's so I would say, please use the brackets. I made my own, but some where my measurements went a little off, so each speaker is only attached by 2 and not 4 bolts. I'm still using the factory HU, so the bass response isn't good (amp install in the pipeline).
However the overall quality of sound has increased. Back to the brackets, you will see that when you line up the aftermarket 6*9 against the factory speaker, the factory speaker larger, so I don't think that the 6*9 can be installed without the bracket. It might actually fall through the speaker hole. |

I have Those exact brackets, yes they will rattle with significant bass, I fixed mine with a little insulation in betweenI had to sand mine a little to get my speaker to fit snuggly as well.

well its been covered but i highly recommend the brackets and some sound dampening material like Dynamat to name one. i have a set of pioneer's on the back of my sedan and rattle with bumpy roads and sub'n. i believe i did install the brackets for the front and don't rattle at all.
Ps. the front speaker is still going to sound at the same sound level due to the design of the car for the front speakers stock or aftermarket. |

how loud the speakers sound is a direct reflection of the wattage you put into the speaker, and how efficient that speaker is. Stock speakers are usually more efficient than aftermarket. Also... distortion can give the illusion of a speaker being louder even when it is not. The volume has very little to do with the design of the car.... until you start talking about extreme levels at which you'd need thousands of watts of power and subs. |

its nothing with the wattage its that the speakers are way down by the floor i used the same speaker on my previous car and they seamed louder on the other car and i am using the same setup with the same headunit. even my homie which installs sound systems tripped out about how the car was designed that even switching them front speakers didn't even make a real difference and he even told me that it was that they were way down there that are too far to hear. the tweeters are the ones that make the sound for the front more than the speakers them selfs on my car.
