Yaris Safety? Not bad at all

So, a few days back I was driving to work at 5:30 AM in very heavy rain. I hit a very deep puddle as the roads were flooding, sending me into a spin. I went off the road into a drainage ditch. I hit the embankment which turned my spin into a roll. I ended up on the roof, but was able to get out of the car on my own. Final tally? The car was totaled with EMS, Police, wrecking crew, doctor and the insurance person very surprised I even able to walked away. Yeah, I'm sore but alive and well.

By the way, I picked up a new 2010 Yaris a couple days ago. Why change a good thing. What a great car!

That's what was thinking. Do you crash often?

I've been driving 15 years and have never had an accident.

Actually it is my first major crash. I had a minor crash 13 years ago, bumped the car in front of me, no damage.

BTW, Crashmaster is my geek name, not my driver name.

I'm very glad to hear you're okay. A few days before I bought my Yaris I was driving downtown and a guy opened his door right as I was passing him. I was sure he was going to yell at me, because he was driving a Mercedes Benz, but it turned out he was quite nice. No one was hurt, but the shock alone of it being my first collision kind of scared me. This is why I drive like an incredibly old person.
