Question about Tire Size

I have the OEM 15" steel wheels. Can I put 195/65R/15 tires on the rims without any problems. I have a chance to purchased 4 almost new (4000 miles) Blizzaks.

Well, I do know that your overall tire diameter will be 1.24" bigger, which will cause your speedometer to read about 5% too slow, assuming your stock size is 185/60/15.
I could hazard a guess and say there would probably be room in the wheel well, however, you might want to be careful when loaded down.

You, however, can be super cool and run at a lower PSI so you can shrink those tires a little.

My dad just bought that size and put them on his '08 sedan. He says he has no rubbing but I think he will have some when he goes on a extended road trip packed down with luggage. They look ok, just a little stuffed. I can try and take a photo!

u cld run blizzaks in the winter fine with the 65 series tire...but dont do anything sporty with it. 65 is kinda high for our cars.

196/60/15 is a good size for performance because although a little taller, there are much more 'sport' tires in the selection vs 185 series tires.

but, 60 is higher than stock and putting a 65 series on there is way higher than stock. your speedo will be off, you wont have as much 'torque' off the line because your 'gear ratio' is off with bigger tires, but on the other hand you'll get better mileage if you do a lot of highway.

In the winter you would get better performance from a narrower tire like a 175/65-15, if it was made. Wider just has to plow more snow.
