Caliper piston question
So let's say the piston is sticking out, would C-clamping it back in with the brake reservoir cap off and many towels wrapped around the reservoir capless area it be ok?
Or it is required to remove the bleeder plug and hose?(thus, requiring the tedious task of bleeding brakes....). Just worried that the bleeder plug acts as a primary 'gate' that if not released first while C-clamping would cause it to 'blow' Thanks everyone! |

C-clamp and rags has worked for many vehicles over the years. Can't imagine the Yaris being any different.
Don't open the bleeder unless your system needs air bleed out or fresh fluid is being installed.

9 out of 10 brake jobs wouldn't include those parts. Of course a stealership may change them just to boost your invoice. Of course if they're cheap then why not just to keep everything fresh.
