Dammit. Seriously my FE has gone down considerably since WA state adopted 10% as the standard.
I averaged 36mgp with all gas, now I'm lucky to get 30-32. |

They say that 15 percent is the limit before you have to put in components are more tolerant of the Ethanol. I just hope they did their figures out right for MPG drop vs gas consumption (accounting for the extra ethanol).
The good news is that there will be extra pumps that will give you less ethanol for cars older than some year they set-- might say in the article. For those cars, they weren't build with newer standards so they must be accounted for. Who will keep us from using that particular pump? (A la regular- leaded gas pumps back in the early 1990s) The bad side is I don't know how this will affect those mom and pop operations who just happen to have brand name gas or other. They have to foot the bill for upgrades to their pumps. Some gas stations are still upgrading from older standards.

NO! The first sentence in the article says, "The Obama administration says gas stations can start selling fuel with more ethanol — a mixture of up to 15 percent — but it's only recommended for cars and light trucks built since 2007." What???
![]() ![]() ![]() It's not the Obama administration. It's any administration because they (Dems/Repubs) are all tied down to corporate fascism... we live in a corporatocracy. I have to laugh at the corporate media, not the liberal media that people claim, saying Obama is a "socialist" spewing this disinformation and then people parroting this information. He is a Corporatist people... as well as anyone else who becomes US President. The role of the US President is being the salesman of the system. His job is being the pitchman to sell the illusion... the supplier of the ‘bread and circuses’ to you via the corporate controlled Mainstream Media (MSM). A president is the embodiment of the executive centered political system that defends American corporate interests at home and abroad... not your interests... ![]() He is speaking for the big agibusinesses that push their weight through corporate lobbyists. Our (the) elected officials are bought and paid for... Time to wake up people... ![]() Cheers!

You aren't lying...I F'IN hate this total . It would be one thing if the cars were really designed for it however ours weren't. I have stayed at a constant 32-34 where I was at 38-40 and that was with the underdrive pulley/afe. The last year and half I have driven my car it has suffered from that cornahol. Like I said, if the car was designed for it that would be one thing.

This really is another incredibly stupid thing. it is like these people choose to be fools. Ethanol from corn is a terrible thing in every possible way.
