UK and US engine differences?

Hi all.

Still fairly new to the yaris and this forum, but I wonder if any of you have any thoughts on the differences to US and UK engines, or if indeed its a difference between p1 and p2 yarii.

below is a comparison between my engine (top), and Acron's from the Blazing Blue thread (below and wider shot).

Notice the location and orientation of the airbox and battery on the right. Anyone know if this difference is because of where the car is sold, or perhaps the year of manufacture?
My main reason for asking, is that the layout on Acron's engine is the one that leaves more room for the CAI systems from Apexi, AFE etc. Any guesses if these CAI's will still fit in my engine bay?
