NEED HELP WITH RIMS AND TIRES!
hey everyone,
I'm looking to get some 17" rims, and Tires ( assuming i'll be getting 205/40/17). I was wondering what would be the best set up in terms of having it lowered, I'm not sure how much i should lower it and etc. I have a Yaris RS 2009 liftback! any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

we need to know what your looking for in ride quality and how low you would like to go. also knowing what offset your wheels are since you're going 17's would help. knowing what i know now going with a mediumish drop with good ride quality like the eibach prokits would be a good choice. or trd

Though each wheel and tire combination is a little different, I wouldn't recommend 17's with a 2" drop. I have that on my Yaris sedan and I've burned through a few wheel-well liners so far. Either keep it at 16" or only drop the car 1-1.5 inches.
It is possible to have 17" rims with a 2" drop with the right tires but if I could do it again I would not drop the car all 2".

hey thanks for the replies!
I'm acutally looking at option 1: 17" ADVAN RGII rims 17X7 offset 40 OR option 2:16" ADVAN RGII rims 16 X 7 offset 42 I was thinking of maybe lowering it 1-1.5 inches. However, I need some advice on what lowers springs to purchase, and tires to purchase for each option. any recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated! greetings from canada! As for springs thats where I also need some advice, |
