Coolant Flush
Hey All,
I'm wanting to do a coolant flush on my 07 yaris LB (just under 110 k but would rather do it now vs the winter). I've done a bit of searching and would love some clarification if at all possible. From what I gather there are a couple different places under the hood that need to be drained: 1. The radiator (drain at bottom) 2. The overflow tank 3. The block via the valve on the backside of the engine I still haven't looked for number 3 yet does anyone have an idea where exactly this is? yaris-me also posted this "You don't have to drain the block. Warm the engine, then open the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. When the flow slows, close drain and with the engine running, fill the radiator with water. Run the engine till it warms up and drain the water. Repeat two more times then let as much water drain out. Use undiluted antifreeze and add half of cooling liquid capacity. Run engine and fill with water till full." this sounds quite easy would I get a complete flush with this? Any extra info would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, B |
