The two main part when this work a supercharger is an air turbine that, like a turbo bettery, makes use of forced induction. However, unlike a turbo which is generated powered by a turbine driven by the engine's exhaust, a supercharger is powered mechanically by a belt, gear, and shaft connected to the engine's crankshaft.
