Trading in..

Well not sure what to do...

This fall or next spring I am replacing the Yaris with an FRS.

Not sure whether to trade it in or sell privately.
2009 2dr hb, 5spd, air, cruise, pearl white (should be close to 100,000kms at trade time)

Current mods include tokico blues, RR sway bar, Kosei 17" wheels, indash GPS/DVD/Bluetooth, tint, TRD muffler, MI Quickshift.

Not sure I want to crawl under it again to remove all of that, the local shop wants $500 to put stock suspension back on it.

Figuring if i trade it in, they will ding me for the mods likely giving me less, where as if I return to stock I will do better but by how much?

I could sell it privately maybe getting a little more than I would on trade but again the mods may hurt the value.. arg not sure what to do.

Id return it back to stock. more demand for a stock yaris. Thats awesome that thebarber will help you with the suspension. Even If you had to fork over the 500. You could probably make it back if you sell your rim, muffler, swaybar, springs/shocks and ssk separately..

Just put it back to stock, the suspension takes 2 hours to do. You could definitely get about $1,000 for your aftermarket parts.

Definitely return to stock and sell off mods. You should have no problem moving a stock yaris with a 100.000 km privately. The dealer is going to give you a ridiculously low amount of money for it which is not going to be worth it even with the tax advantage the trade gives you.

I would hold on to the head unit. You might be able to put it in a new car. Unless it's one of these yaris specific chinese units..
