Prius "C" : calls for 0w-20 in the 1.5 ltr. ( 1NZ-XFE ) ...

go to http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/docum...df/sec_6-1.pdf . Aware the I.C.E. would likely be in use around 60% of time shortening the use of the oil making for a longer O.C. interval of 10,000 miles or 12 months . If harsh driving 5w-20 every 5,000 miles or 6 months ( delivery , etc. ) . Wish they would approve 0w-20 for the Yaris , would put that to use for colder months . Here's the Maintenance / Warranty Guide http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/docum...rius_C_WMG.pdf . States it on page 56 .

I use Mobil 1 0W/20 in my car and it's an '09 that I believe calls for 5W/20-30. 0W will be fine in a Yaris. I change every 7500 miles because I drive mostly highway miles, it's pretty warm all year here in south Georgia, and the shit is bloody expensive if I don't happen to catch it on sale.

That said, there are small but measurable improvements to efficiency with the 0W oil.
