So far all of the news isn't listing much for which models, but it is very possible that ours may be included since they are talking about over 2 million vehicles. I have been kicking around upgrading the water pump anyway, but still if this is the case I am not going to be really bent out of shape since my reliability has been tested pretty well with most parts holding up very well.

For the cost of $30 and an hour of my time I would rather replace it myself. Anyway they don't completely fail they just weep a little at high rpms mine lasted 80k before I decided to change it and my overflow tank still had a 1/4'' left in it.

They are recalling the Prius', so I am thinking the Yaris' that share the same 1.5L engine as the Prius are probably on the list.

Here is a link to one of the reports,

HERE

Mentions the Prius and the Corolla but does not rule out any others. I'll wait and see if I get notified.

Here is some more info. It appears that they are going to replace the electric water pump on the hybrid systems:

You can let it leak as much as you want just keep an eye on the coolant bottle. I installed an aftermarket Nissin waterpump the are are good quality japanese parts maker.
