Key Fob Range
Not sure if this is the right forum to be posting in... if not, please feel free to direct me...
Wondering if anyone knows the range/distance the key fob has? Meaning, how far away can I be and still lock/unlock the car with the key buttons...

With a fresh set of batteries, I was able to unlock from about 230 feet... as long as it was line of site... Granted, the car would automatically lock itself by the time I got to it.
Obviously, it'll be less distance as your battery in the fob is used up.

Mine will only work from about 75 foot. My key fob battery is probably low though. It has been like this since I got the car last year. (08 97k miles) I assume stock fob battery.

My 08 key fob still has its original battery, i'm wondering just how long its going to last.
A trick i saw on Top Gear to extend its range is to hold the key up to your head and then press the button,sounds weird but it gives me an extra 50-75ft range. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jACSPipPSE
