Where is the Yaris manufactured?

I'm getting confusing info on this (did a search). It appears that the Yaris is made in France, South Africa and Japan - is this correct? Are there any other locations?

all us cars are made in japan, european are made in france. not sure about south africa, well except that the african ones are made there, although not sure if middle east would be there or france. no doubt japan makes all the wrong side drives as well.

Some European market Yarii are also made in Japan, like mine. The VIN is the key- if the 1st letter is J, it's Japan-made.

All Canadian Yarii I are made in Japan. Check the sticker inside the drivers door. Mine says "made in Japan"... This is why its not on Toyotas long list of dangerous recalls perhaps??!!

Here in the Philippines Yarises (liftback) are made in Thailand. But the sedan is made here locally in the Philippines.

Well if you had paid any attention at all you would know by now that the problem seems to have been caused by a mechanical fault in accelerator pedals, that come from the same US-based manufacturer... Do your homework before you try being a smart-ass

id say he was right on, seeing as how the japan made yaris has already been subject to recall right here in the usa (134,900 of the recalled vehicles residing in the United States).

In extreme front-crash situations, the defective seatbelt unit could cause a foam pad to ignite.

so, for someone to make the comment that the yaris being made in japan "is why its not on Toyotas long list of dangerous recalls perhaps??!! "...is at the very least a comment borne of ignorance.
