Apparently the lens scratch easily. I plan on installing these in the winter after xmas. I'll be covering the lens w/ plasti dip glossifier to protect the lens

Also the light output is far worse than stock. My friend has these on his car and my O.E. housing put out is at least twice what his put out. Also from what he told me,you can't run HID's in them. He tried and they started melting his housings.

Hmm, thanks for the info Coheed. Would you say the light output was not adequate for night driving, or could the hi beams be run day to day to make up for the sub par lighting?

I like the look of these but i'd just install hid's and paint the stock one black if these are that bad, they're not cheap

If you never leave the city, the light output would be fine. Move away from urban light pollution and those things are shit.

Agreed, they are the dog's bollocks looks-wise on the car but light output is crap! I just slow down on the unlit back roads; but if you're looking for better light output, then these are not your answer!

I decided not to go with those headlights so instead i'm going to do a diy HID halo install and paint the inside of my lights black.

Does anyone know the name/part number of a set of hid's that will fit and can be retrofitted to a yaris '08 sedan?

Be sure to get extra small projector housings.
Those I got from thebarber are too large (diameter) to fit the oem sedan headlight housing. The turn signal box below the bulb location is too close to the halogen bulb location to seat the projector unit in squarely. In my case, much material need be removed which will compromise the lighting system.

do you have a link to the projectors I'd need? I'll be starting a thread later today inquiring if anyone knows what projectors needed to be bought for an easy install as possible

Contact thebarber who has posted on you other thread. He will set you up but be sure they are small projectors.
