Adding Prestone All Vehicle coolant to mostly-drained Toyota Super Long Life coolan
To flush or not to flush (with distilled water)?
Just read a few threads "mixing/contaminating" coolant and I'm curious what I should do here. 2008 yaris still has original (been topped up a few times) toyota red coolant in it. Bought some unmixed prestone "all vehicle" coolant to replace it. It's ethylene glylcol based, same as toyota red. The plan is to drain it from the petcock and then fill with the prestone after mixing it 50/50 with distilled water. Just curious if I should flush the system with distilled water first before doing that? Thanks guys. |
