The heater / cooling part (last image down) where is that at the front of the car ? The two black square hoses in between in the middle image, where is that outside of the car ?

Whats the large silver box just forward of the steering wheel?

That is a second gen. The intake for the heater comes out within the wiper cowl, just above where the ECM sits on the firewall.

The black square tubes in the center of the dash connect to the air vents on the dash, they don't exit to outside.

The silver box in front of the steering wheel is the power steering ECU.

Probably not. Had it not been for a man like CTScott, such pictures of the Gen2 would not have existed.

Your best bet might be with Jason@SportsCar as he tears down his 2015 for race prep. Maybe PM him to see if any pics like this could be obtained.

These pictures are perfect, except I wish there was a clearer picture of the left hand side of the drivers side ? As well is there a picture including the isolation ?

Might be useful to know what in particular you are looking for? For the most part the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2015 Yaris we have turned in to racecars were 99% identical inside. All of the metal stampings are the same. I have yet to see a significant change outside of the exterior sheet metal, and almost everything has been interchangeable from one gen to the next.

Based on his other threads, I believe he is looking for;

- possible access points a squirrel is using to get into vehicle
- what under the dash said squirrel has possibly damaged (ie, insulation)

Yes, the carpet installation that is behind the cars front dashboard, that I physically can't see, it would be of great help, your other pictures help me identify a problem area.

Except the cabin filter area is it possible to see pictures of the where the heat and a/c enters though the car ? :)

Thank You.

The AC enters the car directly in the center of the firewall. You can see it from the engine bay there are two metal lines that come out of a large rectangular grommet. The heater core is directly to the right of that in a smaller hole with two black hoses coming out of it. It would be really obvious if there was damage in either of those from the firewall. You can see both of those holes from the picture Jason has posted neither one should allow enough of an opening for a squirrel or rat to get in. In order for there to be a breach in the cabin air filter it would need to get past the blower, which is a pretty tight space. There is a small hole where the water drain is located, in the passenger side footwell, you can also see the hole in Jason's picture.

I would be more willing to bet that the holes that are plugged with the large rubber grommets on the underside of the car, is where its getting in rather than from the firewall area. There are 4 in the cabin area and one large one in the trunk. I would be looking there.
