After installing my NST underdrive pulley I was trying to move the alternator back into position to re-tension the belt when the rubber mallet I was using slipped and broke the connector off of this thing mounted to the block just above and to the right of the alternator! I took it out to take get a better look at it... Does any one know what this is? It looks like some sort of solenoid or valve with oil all over the end that goes in the block.I was able to straighten the tabs and push the broken piece back together but there were to tiny wires that I think were broken... The engine started after I put everything back together, but the check engine light came on... I hope what ever it is, it's not expensive, because I'm pretty sure it's not covered by warranty...
