Well the valve only has 1 bolt holding it in, so I suppose it could have gotten loose. You could take it out and see if the rubber O ring around the base of the valve is broken or degraded. It's not too hard to get to, with the VVTI engine cover is removed, and the cable unplugged from it. If you really want I can get better pictures of mine...
