I just hope the drop in gas prices won't derail it's arrival here and if not hurt the sales.

I'm on the same boat of waiting 'til the Yaris is paid off. Having Yaris' little brother.

I am so happy it is coming to the states afterall, well, hopefully.

Now I have a great reason to hold on to my altima and not buy a yaris afterall.

Wow, this car looks like the imperial soldiers from starwars. I love the fact that it's so tiny.

I am going to drive it all over the states and canada. Yeah!!!

I'd give it a serious look but what about the standard engine specs and mileage? Anyone?

Speculation is the US car will have the 1.5 Yaris engine. The UK car has a choice of like three engines; the 1 lt. Eygo engine, 1.3 lt, and 1.4 lt D engine. Even if we get the 1.5 the MPG should be good. I'd say it'd have to be 50+ before people will take the plunge.

Thumbs up

Unlike the fortwo, it will come with a spare tire, jack and lug wrench.....oh and 4 lugs....not three. I doubt that I will consider it unless the mileage is radical and the price is right. My Yaris will be nearly paid off and it'd be nice to be free of car payments. I'm still real happy with "Lil' Blue". It still turns heads and gets great mileage (+ -) 38 mpg.

Any word/estimate on when this vehicle is due to hit the states? It'll be a suitable upgrade from my new Yaris in a year when the gas is at $5/gallon. :)

Not a good sign that the IQ was a no show at the LA Auto show. We will just have to wait and see.

If gas hits $5/gal. then the trade in / resale value for our Yarii will skyrocket, but so will the price of cars like the iQ. I hope they sell it at a price lower than the Yaris S LB.

I'd buy it over a Smart Car for one reason: three pedals on the floor.

I am not a fan of the car though the gas mileage is nice.

What is the fuel economy for the iQ? Don't remember seeing it mentioned.
