Wonder if it states 0w-20 or 5w-20 on the oil cap for the 2012 . If anyone gets the chance to look at one take a peek under the hood to see if it remains 5w-30 and get back to us . Thanks

NEITHER, you should know us being blacksheep of toyota family we get the tired 5w30 with 3.9 quarts.....

. We're using SHELL full synthetic 5w-20 ( SN/GF-5 ) in the '08 sedan and it's quite quiet . I'd say about the same noise level as the PENNZOIL ( Y.B ) conventional 5w-30 . The SHELL full synthetic 5w-30 before this oil interval was a tad quieter . Do you have access to the updated chart for the approved oil weights for all the TOYOTA models ? what vehicle is the 1.5 in? my charts shows straight 5w30 with no others???

The 1.5 ltr. of the YARIS , PRIUS , XA , and XB that are on the chart ( Canada ) .

I am betting 0w20. My 2011 Sienna van takes 0w20 so I can only guess that the new Yaris would take the same.

I only drove it around the dealership lot. I wanted to take it on a real test drive, but I had to be at work in 10 minutes.
