Does Toyota offer 0% financing on the Yari?

not that I know of, if fact over the memorial day weekend I got an e-mail inviting to purchase specific models at invoice, and some popular models at 250 over... the Yaris however was not mentioned anywhere !?!

I always get the same dealership spiel... "Yaris has very little markup, no room to play"

Manufacturers offer 0% when demand is low and they need to get rid of cars they have already built - i.e.for cars no one wants!

When they have waiting lists (high demand) why would they lower their prices?

Be sure to ask about discounts, bonuses, and incentives at your local dealership. My wife works for a nearby university, and when we told the dealer where she worked, he told us that he'd sell us a Yaris for $150 over invoice! We ended up buying two of them! Didn't lower the price much for each (like someone already said, they aren't marked up much as it is), but between both of the cars, we saved a total of something like $1500 off the total amount spent. On top of this, my wife recently graduated from grad school, and by showing them her transcript, Toyota knocked off another $400 on one of the cars! I know for a fact that this particular incentive is a Toyota thing, so ask your local dealership about that one and others!

very true. this is also a regional thing, so there may be a 0 APR offer in florida, but not one in california, and vice versa. this is how we got our sienna at 0 APR. check this out. beginning of september last year, at one local dealer, they had 90 siennas in stock. word got around about 0 APR for 36 months, but only if you take delivery before October 1st. i checked the online inventory in october, and they had only 20 siennas left. those disappeared in jan '07 when toyota offered a $2K rebate. these rebates and incentive offers definitely do their job. hey, toyota "suckered" me in!

0% apr for 36 months on overpriced successor of Previa will surely land your van on a repo lot ---then the same dealer you bought it from will purchase your sienna off the auction ( @ wholesale), then sell it back to you as a " certified preowned"------------------

I have 6.9% for 60 months. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering I am a first time buyer and I was able to get it without a co signer. My credit union said "You're a 1st time buyer. 15.5% APR" to which I was like HELLS NO! so I went to another Credit Union who told me being a first time buyer didn't matter but ended up saying "You're new to credit. You need a cosigner." To which I was also like HELLS NO! Then I was approved through Capital One @ 7% (Which is now 6.05% ) and the dealership I went to said they would beat it. So they did. So I feel like I got a good finance deal.

off-topic...but:
its sad, but this does happen to a lot of people. similar to you, our financial planning allowed us to cash out our yaris and keep our money in high yield savings instead of cashing out our van as well. the 0 apr saved us money, as well as is currently making us money. oh, and dont hate on the sienna until you get in one. its a lot nicer than most people think!! and while it is the successor to the previa, the yaris is also the successor to the echo. thank goodness for improved engineering and technology...!!

How cheap is everyone getting their Yaris for? On ours, they had us go through two lenders. One gave us a loan @ 7%, and the other gave us 8% interest...

You can go through Eloan and get less than 7%.

Well, not necessarily, it all depends on your credit. 7-8% isn't bad. According to the breakdown of everything, they showed if we paid the minimum, we'd only be paying around $5k in interest. It would be less than that if we pay it off quicker. Not too bad, if you ask me (not that I wouldn't want a lower rate, I'm just not complaining...)

well, as i stated before in my posts ----- all i give the bankers is a f... ( i.e. all they deserve is being screwed.....) and the only favor i will allow from them in return is paying interest on my savings

i bought yaris sedan month ago and i borrowed money from myself good thing is i do not have to pay it back.........
