Paint
I may. I have a spoiler and a replacement fender I have to paint so when I do them I may also paint the rack. Here in Arizona my first thought was having to touch it with bare hands on a sunny 110 degree F day.

AWESOME! You should make a DIY thread so others can enjoy your creation! :)
oh and how do your laws rule over obstructed license plates???? You may want to mount your license plate on the bike rack somehow.... or maybe they arnt that strict where you are..... :)

when i drill the frame for tags i also have to mount a light over the plate and wire it in with a plug and socket.
