Wife's Yaris is so bulletproof....
And we like the car so much I'm buying one for myself lol! After dd'ng an e46 m3, passat, sunfire (lol) .. Hell I'm just going to buy another yaris. Amazing on gas has all the basics and is pretty fun to drive. For years I always take the wife's car when I make Timmies runs etc .. Soon to be double owner !
Time for some coilovers and lm reps and mods to begin lol ! |

The Canadian ritual of driving to the local Tim Horton's for coffee.

One more notch in the aging belt .
Can't believe it's been at least that long since Horton's branched out into the U.S. Sort of makes me realize just how little time I have left with my daughter before she leaves the nest. Time flies so fast.

No, no...I don't know how long Horton's has been in the U.S. I'm pretty sure the Horton's in Madawaska is the only one I've been to in the U.S. In 2006 I spent 4 months driving across Canada (Whistler/Lion's Bay/Vancouver/Surrey BC to Port aux Basques/L'Anse aux Meadows/St. John's NL (after taking the car ferry from North Sydney, NS to Port aux Basques)....and many points in between.....in my 2001 Suzuki Swift (the car I had before my Yaris). In 2007 I drove from Niagara Falls to Toronto (and back) in my Yaris.

There is a public service ad that airs on TV in the U.S. I'm not sure which organization sponsors the ad, but the 'prompt' is 'to appreciate parents'. The two characterrs are a dad (presumably a single dad) and a daughter. The daughter is leaving for college and is saying goodbye to her dad. After saying goodbye, the daughter gets in the car and motors down the street a bit. The car stops. The daughter gets out of the car and comes back to give the dad one last hug. The first time I saw this ad, my first thought was that when my little cousin (who will be 12 in a few months) leaves for college that (in some ways) will be the hardest day of her mother's life....17 years and a few months after the day that her mother, her grandmother, and I first met her in person in China (on what was deemed to be her first birthday).

I see. Still, I decided to look it up. 1997! Even longer ago than I thought. That even goes back to before the birth of my daughter.
