Richmond Virginia here...
MPG so far is 28MPG on my first tank, installed Rostra Cruise Control, then 36MPG on my second with a mixture of city and hwy miles at Sandbridge Beach!
I also installed my arm rest and I have my mudguards, but I will install those tonight. |

Crusie Control
Did you install the cruise control yourself? How hard was it to do and how much did it cost?

Yes, I installed it myself. It was $252.90 with total with shipping. It took about 3 hours because I installed it at night with my brother using flashlights. I was going on a trip and I wanted it to get the best MPG and avoid speeding tickets. Print the directions out from the website in color Here is a link to the site http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com/ This place shipped like lightning too. The installation is not for the faint of heart. Getting the wire through the firewall is a biotch. It is good to have 2 people for the install. One to read the instructions and keep track of progress, and one to do the job. Make very sure you feel comfortable that you tap the right wires or you might fry something. Read the directions multiple times before the work and while doing the work. Discuss anything y'all disagree about. Once you tap the wires correctly then it is not too hard to do the rest, just routing wires under your dash and stuff. If you have an automatic, be careful, there are 2 grey plugs on your transmission. Use the one that is most forward. Make sure you check your brakes once you have finished, you may need to adjust your brake sensor. The gas pedal on the Yaris is bizarre since it is all drive by wire. Pretty cool actually. Thats about all I can remember about the install. Good luck!! I also highly reccommend the Yaris Armrest for $77.00 |

Funny, I was born in Miami & we have almost the same car!
Now in the hills of Georgia, near Helen. 2007 Liftback, Meteorite Metallic -- automatic, power package, keyless entry, Enkei alloy 15" wheels, fogs. Looking for mat to cover entire cargo area (with back seat down), anybody? 2500 miles in 2 months, averaging 34 mpg (with a very heavy foot). |

I'm not proud, I use one of those blue U-Haul blankets to protect the whole rear cargo area while taking yard/kitchen trash bags to the dump. Works great and it's nice to lay on while removing/installing the plug & filter during the oil changes. ;) It is washable when need be.
