Time to Play Everyone's Favorite Game
Well, its that time again, time to play "Guess the Damage Estimate!" Well, long story short, some moron ran a red light and smashed into my yaris . These are the pics from the scene. Sorry about some being a lil blurry, it was wicked cold out there.
So what do you think the total cost will be? Additional info: the airbags didnt deploy, and i wasn't leaking any fluids, tho they did tow my car away from the scene. In the meantime, i have a dodge dart for a rental, and i must say this thing is sweet! |

Is everything in its proper place under the hood (the aluminum AC piping on the passenger side didn't get kinked, and the radiator and condenser are not too tweaked)?

That makes it harder to estimate, but I am thinking about $3200.

I was going to say 3k but then you showed the other side of the car, my guess is 4500 dollars.
You should had went to the hospital cause your time for all this is not reimbursed nor if the shop does not do something you have to notice and take more time to fix it. At least if you went to the docs they normal give you some money for your troubles. One more thing after market parts are not as good as orginal parts. |

Wow! Ask them how much they would charge to buy the totaled car back from them - I might be interested.

^ That seems to be the ongoing theme with the Yaris dude. The question is will the car be paid off then by your insurance or will you still owe money?

the car loan will be paid off by insurance, although i owe more than what the car is worth, i do also have GAP insurance to make up the difference.

That is kind of crazy too that you would actually have to use your GAP insurance with a Yaris and how well they have held their value.

i was thinking the same thing, yarii in the condition mine was in tend to go for 8-11K around here, thats why im wondering how much does insurance think mine is worth? The NADA value was just over $8,500 for a clean trade-in, which mine was.

Insurance companies always stiff you one way or another. The other guy's insurance is paying right?
