OK, I was on this site (don't ask) and came across the following...

But I'd sure love to have that split-folding rear seat! Cheers! M2 |

Interesting... as more smaller cars are made with body parts, which are easy to replace (attached by a few bolts), this kind of things could become more and more common.
Btw, RHD cars are common in Russia, especially in Eastern parts. Japanese imports are popular. Last edited by BluYrs; 02-22-2010 at 02:15 AM. Reason: Fixd, meant to say RHD. |

It is interesting on what they took. The tires looked in good shape.

I visited Moscow 9 years ago and on the smaller streets in the neighborhoods they had these small car sheds that you park your whole car in to lock it up. The sheds were car-shaped.
In Minsk, Belarus, a friend bought (ordered) a used Yaris from America. For some reason used American cars are available at affordable prices. I always wonder if they're stolen. In St. Petersburg, this one guy had his Audi stolen from his garage. He bought a VW after that and had all kinds of locks on it, one locked the manual shifter, one locked the hood, and I think a brake pedal lock too. He then ordered a used A8 from Germany and got an A6 but he was happy. By the way those diesels haul ass! Now he parks it in front of his work at night where there's a guard. And one time a guy visited Belarus from Vladivostok (Eastern Russia) and asked to drive a left handed car just to see what it was like because the only cars he drove were right hand drives from Japan. |
