Last post then leaving forum.
Seeing I am a nuisance here this will be last post.
Here is my dilema. I need new tires yesterday but dont know if 205/50/R16 will be ok and not rub? I currently have car lowered @ 1.5 front/rear with 205/45/R16. Rim specs (American racing ) 16" x 7" 4x100.00 (offset 40) Here are pics of large gap/s http://i.imgur.com/dAM8eiK.jpg http://i.imgur.com/r3tsIDn.jpg |

205/50/R16
205/50/R16 good to go!
Thanks but wasnt 100% sure.I will be buying and getting the Ziex ZE950 205/50/R16 installed tomorrow then. I did come across this yaris with 205/50/R16 but did not know what the drop or offset was. https://imgur.com/ad3y3V0 P.S Going with the Ziex ZE950 because of the price and overall reviews.I think its the best tire I can get for $110.00 a piece. Thanks again for confirmation and much appreciated. |

Leaving?
Perhaps not because this place is the only place I can get the straight dope on anything yaris with no BS.
I just have to learn to not ask so many questions and research more before hand. P.S Thanks for the compliment on my car...I love this car so much, best car I have ever had.Its kind of odd because I have had more expensive cars but not near as fun, good looking and unique after some simple mods. Next is putting wiper vertical and swaybar. That should be about it. Last edited by Pinchlite; 04-05-2017 at 07:46 PM. |

another question
I was considering the zeix but came across the Nitto Neo Gen,would this be a better quality?
The zeix I had in mind are all season but would only be used in the summer and the nitto says 3-season which may be better suited for my summer needs only. The Nitto is only $17.00 more per tire. Here is link to local shop that I have in mind and $128.00 is my max budget. Canada here BTW... https://shop.kaltire.com/tiresdetails1/tireid/1484/ |

I ran 2 sets of 205/50/16 Nitto Neo Gen tyres. Great handling rubber, but extremely noisy... and straight line tracking at highway speeds was virtually nonexistent; I had to fight to keep the car in lane. This is not the tread design I would recommend for the Yaris if it's a daily driver.

I read 40% wear @ 5000km on the nitto. So at this rate I would need new tires every summer as I can do 5000 km in a month. Here is my original choice.Should last longer and dont really drive aggressive. http://www.limitlesstire.com/Falken-...3681&ez=&pos=4 |

^^^ Do you have another choice? If you do a fair bit of highway driving, I would try to find a non-aggressive tread pattern with a wide continuous centre rib; you will eliminate highway wander.

I just want a tire that I can get from those 2 links I posted without going over 128.00 a tire. I want longest tread life and best wet tire performance. I dont really drive highway all that often but normal road that leads from my town to work which is about 60km but is smooth, wide paved shoulders and everyone does 90/100 km/hr. I do quite a bit of intown/s driving aswell making house calls. I dont want a super sticky performance tire because thats not my driving style. Last edited by Pinchlite; 04-05-2017 at 08:52 PM. |

I have these on my car now. I've actually had 2 sets of these; the last set on my 2007 and the first replacement set on my 2014. I'm very happy with them.

See what you can find in either Cooper or General Tire. Those have some of the longest lasting tread I have ever encountered.

From looking around cooper gets good reviews price/quality. Cant wait to see the car without so much gap. Not disrespecting all the recomendations given here but came across these??? The coopers are on the top of the list as of know though. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mi...html#Questions Last edited by Pinchlite; 04-05-2017 at 09:30 PM. |

Fwiw if you want wet grip then getting the longest lasting tire becomes a conflict. I am currently running yoko' avid ascend and they last crazy long (800 treadwear) stick well when warm and roads are dry, but put some rain in there and they become down right scary.
Just something to think about, don't put all your eggs in the treadwear basket or you'll have disappointing wet traction
