New to Yaris and looking for a little direction
Hi guys. Just picked up an 06 Yaris 2dr hatch. The car is for my wife but I can't help but want to play with it a little bit. Nothing too extreme but from what I've read the past couple of days there is a few things here and there that I can do. I haven't seen anywhere (or I'm just not looking hard enough) that mentions whether or not the 06 and 07 models are the same. I see lots of mods that are being done to the 07's but are they backwards compatible with the 06's? Not looking for anything major...probably some tower braces and a couple of engine parts here and there. Great forum BTW guys. Very informative.

Well I don't follow hockey...but from my limited knowledge its my understanding that the teams that fall out first aren't as good as the ones that make it to the end :p.

06 and 07 year models are all the same inside and out.
Not a single thing changed except more aftermarket products come out for our car

This crap about "what year" is an American invention from the days when the public thought they were getting THIS year's car, when in fact most of the technology was decades old. Registration date has its applications (insurance, etc), but most manufacturers change very little from year to year now.
It is likely that the Yaris will remain the exact same car for at least 3 years before there are any significant upgrades... |
