Dropping out of boost/not activating
Lately for some reason superyaris has been falling out of boost or just not activating right. On my way home there were 2 times where boost didn't activate until way past when it normally does. I've checked the wiring and don't see anything obviously loose.
Also I noticed this. I don't see any more around it and it's possible I could have spilt some when I changed the oil about 1700 miles ago. But then there's this, that I just don't have any idea at all about. This is on the inlet from the throttle body to the top of the blitz. This is what it looks like underneath that moist looking area. What's going on here?

It is kind difficult to spill oil in this location. Is it coming from under the engine cover?
At the same time - re that small oil "well" - the SC oil should be very smelly as it contains some very agressive stuff - is your smelly or more like and engine oil? I see two separate issues here: one is oil, another SC activation. Re SC activation - it is kinda strange cause SC activation is pretty simple mechanism - it either works or it does not as per the 4-position module. |

I don't even have the engine cover on. I can't find any oil anywhere other than that little spot.

What is the LED on the blitz control knob assembly doing? Does it come on where you expect the boost to kick in, or does it not come on until the boost actually does kick in?

It doesn't come on until the boost actually comes on. I feel like the throttle position isn't being sent correctly or something weird like that.

OK. How did you make the connections? If you used tap splices, they may be too large, so the TPS one may not be making a good connection to the TPS wire.

I was kinda lazy and just wrapped the wires together by hand and covered them in electrical tape. I guess I should just get in there and solder them.
EDIT: What do you make of that weird moisture stuff coming out of that vacuum hose area?

The moisture is probably just oil vapor that has escaped from the EGR system. You may have a hose clamp that just isn't doing its job.

Yeah I don't even know how you're supposed to hold that wiring harness and try to solder on it at the same time, haha. It was hard enough soldering new headlight plugs on my truck.
Do you know what size the vacuum hose needs to be that goes from the valve cover to the boost intake?

Either on here or on MI, I recently answered a post about the vacuum hose sizes. I don't have in the info handy at the moment.

The moisture is just a mixture of fuel and oil that vents from the crankcase. No big deal.

I searched for quite a while last night and never could find that flipping hose info.

your belt might be slipping... when i went to the track with mine i noticed it with my boost and by the sound of the whine..... check the tension on your belt. i have a part number for an 8 ribbed belt i cut in half cause the supplied belt with the kit isucks and streches real quick
Gates green stripe K080660 8PK1676 i've noticed it as well... i've wiped it clean and it would come back. the damp hose part that is... maybe an oil catch can should be considered on our ends? can anyone second that?
