I usually run it through the intake system. Cleans out all the blow by oil and carbon deposits in the intake manifold as well as valves and pistons. Have to do it in a well ventilated area if your car has lots of miles though. I usually do this a day before my next oil change.

Waste of time and money with possible mechanical consequences in my opinion.
More often than not it does nothing except make money for the manufacturer. Which might be a good thing in this economy! We need jobs! Same effect in the medical industry (ie people looking for a quick, cheap fix that doesnt necessarily have to do anything tangible just make the public happy something is being done about the problem. See "snake oil" and "Dr Smiths Amazingly Effective Cancer Treatment and Hair Oil All in One!") Just my humble opinion of course! (You would be a fool to listen to me.) |

I put half a can in the engine (through the oil fill cap) and the other half in the gas tank a few days before my oil change. first time using it, don't know if it made a difference or not.

YarisSedan, how do you get it in to the intake?...Is this similar to having it sucked up the brake booster--(which is what I do)?

intake cleaning..
Works great through the brake booster hose, just make sure that your outside causes lots of fog, does a great job of cleaning the carbon and crud out of there.good to use in the tank every 5000miles,i do the intake cleaning to our fleet trks&cars every 50000miles,,great stuff..

Keep an extra set of plugs handy, you may foul the old ones.
