Adjustable rear shocks
So things have finally warmed up around here and I plan on improving my suspension for this years autocross season (SCCA H Stock category).
I've done some research and the rear shocks on a 2004 scion xA seem to be very similar to ours. Can anyone confirm that they are the same? If they are then we should be able to get adjustable rear shocks pretty easily. |

Who said Yaris was slow?
|
The only confirmation we have so far is that NO Scion suspension component will bolt on right on the Yaris.

yeah, wont fit... confirmed. you would have to either drill out the mounts on the lower beam or fit a sleeve into the xA shock.

What mods are permitted on SCCA H Stock category ???
I guess you can go to coilovers... but what about the tokico blues with some lowering springs? |

Springs can't be changed so that eliminates coilovers.
Tokico Blues are my backup plan. Quote:

supposedly the xD has the exact same suspension, if you look on tokiko's site, they are a different part number. the fronts are the same though. So, i assume that they are probably valved stiffer for the extra rear weight, so it may be an advantage to run them on the yaris...

I like that idea, If I put yaris blues in the front and xD ones in the back it would help balance it out like a rear swaybar(which your not allowed to add).

btw, i think that the xD's are blues as well so non adjustable. but they should have more aggressive valving.

xd and yaris have the same suspension components....so adjustable shocks for the xd would fit on the yaris front and rear...
if youre running h stock w/ the yaris....dont do r comps....merlin flipped his yaris auto-xing last year....i was there....had r comps and a rear sway bar car was a write-off

Fortunately in Detroit we have a street tire classes for stock, and I am too cheap to buy R-Compounds. |

That's good that some are finally on their way.
Garm, You should see if you can find out more about both of these, and put me at the top of your pre-order list. |

I got a response from Tokico NA. They said all the information they have gotten from Japan is that it would be available in the summer months.
Still nothing from Koni. I actually emailed Koni first, so +1 for Tokico for at least responding. |
