review of Transformers: The Game
okay, i went out and bought this game despite the reviews i've read online about it. i've only been able to complete ~10% of the game, and i can't say it's worth it (PS2 version). it's pretty fun, and stress relieving at the same time. my only cons about the game are the camera angle and car physics. the camera angle makes it some what hard to aim, especially if you're throwing something at an enemy. the cars handle like crap (compared to racing games like GT, i know, i know, they're no where near the same type of game). i do like how you can basically roam the entire city and destroy pretty much anything and pick up a lot of objects. i can't wait to try it on another console. i did manage to try the PSP version. that is not good, and i don't think it's worth buying. i really want to try the Wii version.

The DS version isn't bad, but gets boring in a hurry because you can't blow up the buildings, only the unsatisfying doo-dads that sit around (park benches, telephone booths, light poles, etc.) Aiming ANYTHING is a royal pain in the butt. It is, however, entirely more fun than it out to be to ram and kill Decepticons while you're in vehicle mode.
The missions are WAY too hard as well, because the Autobot version requires you to "protect" a bunch of game characters with utterly oblivious AI, and the level restart points are far and few. ~YR

I have the PS2. Pain in the ass to drive this thing as Bumblebee. Kinda fun to throw down with the Decepticons though.
Im also not far enough into it yet. Gotta get my priorities straight. Repeat after me...PLAY not Work...PLAY not work.....

Another thing that makes me chuckle is snatching up an unlucky Decepticon and brandishing him as a club against his buddies. That's a great little addition they threw in!

it's not that bad. yeah, car control is a little floaty, but it's not a racing game. NFS doesn't exactly have good car control either (never played Carbon, so i can't assume that for that).
