18in rims
Hi,
Am thinking of replacing my stock rims with 18in rims. Just wanna know if i have to modify the suspension also, or just change the rims. Coz i wanna leave the stock suspension system as it is. Also, which tyre size is best recommended for safety in the Yaris Sedan. Can any1 of u help me out, please? |

you dont have to modify your suspension you can leave it stock as far as the tires well the rim place would suggest the tires cause its based on width of rim in order to get a tire size so they would know more less what tire to run

Here in the States, Toyota's TRD option wheels/tyres for the Yaris are 18x7.5, ET42, 215/35/18. They will bolt onto your car without any modification to the stock suspension. The fitment is good, but not excellent.

At worst the milage will go down due to a heavier rim/tire set up......but my 17x8s fit fine....not sure I coudl go 18s with out getign aspring that does not drop so low.

I have 18 trd wheels and they fit fine, some rubbing occurs in the rear on major dips/turns, Mileage does decrease (not much), and they look great. I am lowered on Tanabe DF's. Looking to get some tokico blue's to help minimize any rubbing.

i'm sitting on some df210s with 17" rims and let me tell you, i get rubbing out the wazoo whenever i hit a dip or a bump too fast. I can cut a turn at a near full lock w/out any rubbing at all though. What sucks is that i was carrying 4 other people in my car the other day and they dropped the car so low that if i was accelerating my car would constantly rub. I'm pretty sure i effed up my tires or at least shaved off a hefty bit off its life...
