Motorcycle gear/apparel
Are there any websites (that deliver in the US) that you guys would recommend for buying motorcycle gear/apparel? I figure I may get my husband some nice gloves for christmas, or if my budget permits it, maybe a jacket, he just got the motorcycle a couple of months ago and hasn't gotten any good gear besides the helmet yet, so I figure it would be my best alternative for a gift.
Anyway, any recommendations will be appreciated

Gloves are like shoes. You must try them on to see if they fit. Leather jackets are really the same way. I was a biker for some time and NO ONE makes s m lg xl the same. It varies SO much from brand to brand.
Maybe a gift card to his favorite motorcycle shop....... find out about upcoming bike shows/rallies and pay for tickets. Trying to do the clothing on-line is a tough one for leather jackets, pants, boots or gloves. Put together a bike detail kit with some nice microfiber cloths, high quality wax, chrome polish, and a bottle of S100 cleaner...... buy him a nice K&N air filter

Bob, thanks for the advice, I was trying to stay away from the jackets, I was hoping getting gloves would be easier but you do make a good point (that's a reason why I will never buy him shoes). Unfortunately he's not really a biker, he only got the bike to save on fuel, so he's not really much into it, that's why I was thinking of getting him something practical but at the same time thoughtful. It's so hard to get him presents, that's why I've been trying to convince him not to get me anything either, oh well.

I bought a full set of Alpinestar leathers, gloves and boots, plus an Arai helmet, at CycleGear. They have some good sales and a great selection, and an outstanding return policy as long as the items are in good shape.
The closest store to Deland is in Sanford, but there are also ones in Daytona Beach and Orlando. Cheers! M2 |

I've bought some stuff from motorcyclesuperstore.com, and like them pretty well. They have decent prices and good selection. Also, their customer service is pretty good. I did order a jacket through them, and had to return it because it was too big. They exchanged the jacket for the correct size, no fuss no muss. I only had to pay return shipping. I've also had good experiences ordering through Revzilla.com. They don't have the selection, and I haven't dealt with their customer service yet, but they do have decent pricing.

I love and wear all Icon Motorsports gear. They are an extremely reputable company and I have ordered online many of times. http://www.iconmoto.com
My dad also owns a motorcycle accessory shop here in Ohio, and he is an Icon vendor. (along with Alpinestars, etc. etc.) I'm sure I could get you a 10% discount on about anything you can find. http://www.kdkerchcycleworks.com and under 'Shop By Catalog' click 'Parts Unlimited'. You could even order it all through me via PM if you didn't want to call him. Just a heads up, good luck! |
