Pic:What on earth is this thing on my front bumper?

was taking pics of my damaged driver door when i noticed this walking by the front.........

i circled it with a red line....

that's the cover that pops off, and exposes the hole in the bumper frame where you can screw in a tow hook

I thought that is the escape hatch for the gerbil in the event of an accident!

look in the vinyl bag that has your spare tire tools and you can see what that stock tow hook looks like -- they give you one!

Ah I see now. First I thought it was meant to be a spool for my lil nephew's kite LOL. Thanks for the enlightenment

Use the little black Plastic flat blade thingy that looks something like a screw driver.
Failing that read owners manual
