I have insurance from Mercury and I'm currently paying $900 every six months.
It used to be around $800 but they told me the Yaris rating got readjusted so the rate went up a little bit. Oh wait, I think that price also includes the insurance of the family van... |

Yes, my Yaris is in full coverage while the van is on liability.
I'll post my insurance details when I get home on Sunday or Monday... |

Your insurance is also linked to your credit rating/score.
If you get a free credit report and look it over carefully you will see credit pulls from the insurance carrier. Based on age, marital status, credit, type of car, driving history, location, claim history...... Not a real fair assessment of rates unless you find someone similar to your age and status in your area.

For my 2008 Yaris and my 1984 4 Runner, I pay a little under $800 through Geico. I am 22 with no accidents or speeding tickets. However I did get my liscencse when I was 16. I had a permit for a year before that. I can get you all the info on coverage here in a little bit.

Oh yea for driver training i think u also have to be 20 or younger. im not sure about the new car discount, i did get it from the dealer but i think the car has to less than 3 yrs old to qualify. You see how you have to be on top of the insurance companies because they "forget" to discount you lool.

Mine is $213 a month. It was $190 a month until that whore IKE came through. I'm with Gieco. I have full coverage on both of my Yaris's. I'm 26 with a clean driving record and my wife is 21 with 2 massive accidents(her fault) on her record.

With USAA (open to military/prior military only), which is well known for having the lowest insurance rates around, I pay about $650 every 6 months. I pay Georgia insurance rates with a $500 deductible. That includes coverage for both me (age 22) and my wife (age 20). I have had many speeding tickets (I think I'm up to #5 now). My license is held in the state of Texas, which doesn't have a points system (AFAIK). Some of you guys are paying wayyyyy too much.
Full coverage on: 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan Liability on: 1998 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Discounts: Multi-Policy discount (homeowners, auto, checking account, etc.) Defensive driving certificate discount New car discount (even though the Yaris is now two years old) Longevity discount (stayed with USAA for over 1 year) Several safety features (Daytime running lights, alarm system, etc.) Sometimes being in the military isn't always so bad. ![]() -Brian |

I just got my own policy earlier this week after being on my parents AAA policy for 6 years. I got it with 21st Century. I only got liability since my car has a salvaged title and it wouldn't be worth it to get comp and collision and they wouldn't give it to me even if I wanted it.
2008 Yaris Liftback. 6-month policy premium: $363 Coverage: -Bodily Injury: $50k/$100k = $177 -Property Damage: $50k = $111 -Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury: $50k/$100k = $63 -Uninsured Motorist Property Damage: $3,500 Max = $12 -Roadside Assistance: $76 per occurrence = Free Discounts: -Superior driver discount. -Good driver discount. -Occupation discount. |
