Windshield Washer Indicator
Is it me, or does the windshield washer indicator not work? I was running low on washer fluid, to the point where my fluid was barley shooting anything out, and my low washer light never came on. It comes on briefly when I turn the car on, but that's about it. Maybe my sensor is damaged?

Could be. Mine was one for about 3 weeks and I used it on a regular basis before it finally ran out. Take it in and have it checked

I don't think I have one either. Maybe it's a northern/cold weather thing?

In terms of the low washer fluid light behaviour:
My low washer fluid light will flicker for awhile (when the fluid level jostles above/below the warning threshold). At this point there's 0.5L (not sure what that translates to in Monopoly Money) of fluid left in the tank, so there's no need to panic. There's ample time to refill at your leisure. Side note: I think I continued for a month once, after the low fluid warning. The front squirters stop spraying before the rear hatch one does... barber is correct - I have a Canadian spec model too, and all come by default w/the so-called "Cold Weather Package". |

I think it is a good idea for the light to equal 1 gallon. I hate to keep a partial gallon in the car or at home....... you always forget you have it.

according to the technical manuals (for '07 model years anyway) only the cars with the cold weather package have them.

With the "Cold Weather Pkg" you get a larger washer fluid tank with the sensor, this includes a heavier duty blower motor and starter I think-been awhile since I looked at my window sticker. Seems like it was $115 option.
