New Engine for iQ in the UK
Interesting read, for lots of reasons. Remember that the UK gallon is 1.25 x US gallon.... (reduce mpg numbers by 20%)

An interesting development indeed....I wonder if other engine tweaks (for better or worse) will be pursued when the car comes to the U.S., especially when most of the powers-that-be seem convinced that we are all hp-crazed, gas-guzzling lunatics.

it looks like its a good 24-36" shorter than the yaris... yet it only weighs 300lbs less... find a way to drop a few pounds, and the 1.33 liter engine wouldn't be needed. I'd think they could make this car within 1,500-1,600 lbs.
If I were to buy one.... I think i'd remove the rear seats for good... and just convert it to a flat level for cargo room... lose weight, and gain room. Wish the yaris came with that option stock. |
