There was a news story the other day that someone had their iPhone stolen and they tracked it down using the phone's GPS.

Does anyone know what app I need to do this? The news story obviously did not say what app it was and i've searched and searched and can't figure out which app it is.

I know the Tmobile G1 (Android Market Phones) has an app that does this, you just activate it, then you can go online to site provided. Enter your email/screen name, then you can track your GPS, nifty thing, wish I had it when my phone got stolen...not sure about this type of app being available for the Iphone...
