Tokyo Motor Show 2009
I'm surprised no one's talked about this already...
Public showing now open/or has opened since yesterday in Japan.... http://www.pinktentacle.com/2009/10/...tor-show-2009/ Personally, this is my most favorite car show out of all the different kinds held throughout the year. Wish i could be there in the fall time.... ![]() Working towards becoming an Industrial Designer, the concept models really intrigue me and the design aspect that varies from here in America to the one in Japan/China, etc... I'm liking Honda's new CR-Z which will take production sometime soon. Nice human transportation concepts too ![]() Discuss your favorites~ |

Take a look.
![]() http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23196 Toyota lead with the hybrid, but in terms of function and form, the Germans have been the leader, example the Rabbit and Golf, also the sports sedan. The high speed aerodynamics are German innovations. Look at Audi, then look at Honda. American designs have been style leaders, but they fade with time. The Smart was out before everybody and now we have other companies trying to do better. I give the Japanese auto makers credit for good reliable cars, but also give the Germans credit for engineering. |

Yeah saw that, there's that PLUS much more at TMS 09. The Infinity Fuga/ M45 Hybrid, very nice.
German designers have nice taste in aesthetics for almost any thing, small consumer products to automobiles. But a negative to function and form is the cost of maintenance...and that will always remain high for the German automobile manufactures/designers.... The general public is only interested whether it gets them from point A to point B. Only a small percentage of us exist where we dissect the car and find out its pros and cons...what can be done better, etc... And simplifying is what the Japanese have excelled at here.... |

It sounds like you never owned a German car. It is very different. The feel and experience is unique to each.

yeah, the cr-z is really sweet! i read somewhere it's going to be available in late 2010 in the us and will look very similar to the pictures shown. however, my favorite is the ev-n with the u3-x mobility vehicle! i know there's very little chance of us getting that(especially with the u3-x), but we can dream can't we?

^ It is nice. Reminds me of the Honda City Turbo which came with a small foldable motorcycle in the trunk.
I like the yellowish/Gold Lexus car they have. Looks like a small entry level car for Lexus.

There is the option of always importing the u3- mobility vehicle. It could really benefit for people who have pain from walking...i know my grandmother could in her case...
I wonder if the Prius battery plug in will be successful here, considering that we implement the battery recharge stations.... |
